Well, really, I don't see why the Fitts story about drug money on Wall Street and in Goverment should come as a big surprise, not to those of us with an historical perspective and the advantages of a good education. My great-great-grandfather, Richard ("Big Swinging Dick") Minim ran opium into China on the clipper ships, along with his fellow Bonesmen. The Kennedys were rum smugglers, or was that the Bronfmans? We who are stewards of high culture can't be so rigid today that we fail to include the cocaine money people in the halls of power. They have earned it. That is one very profitable business, you know. The money has to go somewhere. No sense in it being bottled up in South America, when it can buoy the US Econony, create jobs, and all that. If drug lords are going to buy political clout, why should they not buy me? My ethics are beyond reproach. While I would take the money, for the good of the economy, I would not be influenced by it. And, I would rather be bought as an honest US Senator by some drug lord than him have to buy some corrupt tinpot South American Dictator for the same money and nothing of value for it. We need that money right here for good works. I personally have no objection to money made in cocaine, as long as it is well-laundered through merchant bankers on Wall Street, political campaign contributions, philanthropy, and a good Ivy-League education, at least for the rising generation. In a generation or two the grandkids of drug lords will be the Bushes, Gores, Kennedys, and Bronfmans of their time. Of course, I would not want to be quoted as favoring the drug business. Not at all. Lock 'em up and throw away the keys. Plenty of money to be made in prison stocks too you know. Make money coming and going. A free market system and all that. Hidden hand of God. He works in strange ways, you know. Providence. More anon. Must scoot, another shipment is in from the coast in Mummy's luggage.
The nice man at Gifthub will be cited, apparently, in a future issue of Town and Country. It just goes to show you that you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Mummy Minim would be so proud of me if I could just get my name in print, especially in a prestigious upscale publication. I thought I was going to end up in The World We Want, but no, only the nice man. Now once again, I am kicked to the curb, shunted to the margins, dumped into a Dumpster. So much for philanthropy. Can't even give the likes of me the time of day. You would think that high art would make the cover. And what is Wealth Bondage but art? As a Wealth Bondage Fetish Action Figure Missy Proctor sure beats that Society Slut on the cover to the left. I wonder what she charges.
